Anguilla Guide

Anguilla is a special place... only 16miles long and 3 miles wide with unspoiled beauty, great food, warm and welcoming people.  Discover the secret of Anguilla.

1 Island: 33 Beautiful Beaches

Anguilla has 33 beautiful beaches to explore.
Discover some of our favorites below:

Shoal Bay East

Of course Shoal Bay ranks #1 with us... Just steps from Sea Breeze, Shoal Bay is 2 miles of white sand and turquoise waters.  Be sure and have a famous Rum Punch at Gwen's Reggae Grill, or a delicious rosé lunch at Madeariman's on the beach.  Then, swim the rest of the day away in the calm and serene waters.

Meads Bay

Meads Bay, on the North Shore of Anguilla, is another beautiful white sand beach that seems to stretch for miles.  With the Four Seasons at one end, and Malliouhana on the other, this is the place to see and be seen.  Enjoy a low-key lunch at Blanchard's Beach Shack, or an upscale lunch at Jacala French Restaurant.  Or, just wander the beach and people-watch. It's all good!

Rendezvous Bay

Rendezvous is home to the world-famous Bankie Banx's Dune Preserve, and also home to the soon-to-be-famous Garvey's Sunshine Shack.  Laid back BBQ is where it's at.  More white sand, more blue waters, but with a view of St. Martin to boot.

Crocus Bay

Crocus Bay is home to DaVida Beach Club, where you can rent kayaks or paddle boards, grab lunch or dinner, or have some fabulous cocktails while lounging on the comfy beach chairs or cabanas.  You can also grab a ride on Calvin's Little Boat to the rocky jumping point called Little Bay, around the corner from DaVida. A fun jump off the cliffs into the water, but not for the faint of heart!

Roadside BBQ to 5-Star Dining

Anguilla has it all... and it's all delicious!

See some of our favorite dining spots below:

Just down the beach from Sea Breeze is our favorite lunch and dinner spot: Madeariman.  Don't miss the fabulous escargots on toast for lunch, the curry fresh fish special for dinner, or one of the best burgers around.  Casual, beach dining with a French and Island twist!

Blanchard's & Blanchard's Beach Shack

Blanchard's has been an Anguilla institution for over 20 years! The Beach Shack has casual goodies from hot dogs to salads to tacos, but with an upscale twist.  And, you can't get any better for a romantic dinner at Blanchard's next door under the stars at night.

Jacala is one of our favorite fine-dining restaurants on the island of Anguilla.  The French inspired restaurant has it all - beautiful views, fantastic dishes, great wine list and French flair.  Try the house steak tartare, or the fresh Caribbean lobster however they are preparing it today - you won't regret it!

Nat's Palm Grove

Nat's Palm Grove is a very special spot.  The proprietor, Nat, will give you great stories all afternoon while he makes you one of his delectable specialties for lunch.  Our favorite, Nat's fish sandwich on Johnny Cake bread with some of his homemade hot sauce!  Finding Nat's is not the easiest thing, but if you follow his hand-painted signs and take it slow, it's worth the detour in every way.

Don't let the location on the side of the road fool you, this place is the best!  Authentic pizza from their imported pizza oven from Italy, fresh pastas, charcuterie, cheese and desserts - all just a 10 minute drive from Sea Breeze.  Come early, Artisan fills up quickly every night!

Dolce Vita

The first time you meet Abbi, the proprietor of Dolce Vita, he will instantly make you feel like family!  Dolce Vita specializes in Italian and we have never had anything less than amazing there.  Our favorites: whole fish specials that change nightly, Abbi's famous lasagna, and the best bolognese this side of Italy.

Day Trips, Live Music, or just Relaxing.

Do it all, or do nothing at all... it's up to you!

See some of our favorite things to do below:

Island Day Trips

One of our favorite things to do - - plan a day trip to one of Anguilla's outer islands!  You can choose from a leisurely ride on one of the many day trip boats to Prickly Pear Island, where there you will be treated to a fresh BBQ lunch and drinks while you enjoy the sun and surf!  Or, catch the hourly free boat ride from Sandy Ground out to Sandy Island for an equally fun day on the water and lunch!

Scilly Cay

Enjoy a short ride in a small boat (just wave your hands at the dock and they will come to get you) to Scilly Cay for a day of swimming, live music, lounging and BBQ, featuring Anguilla's most famous fresh lobster (not to mention the potent rum punch!)

DaVida Beach Club is the perfect place to hang out any day of the week for great food, drinks and watersports rentals by the hour.  Visit on most Sundays for a special treat of live music from Anguilla's favorite son, Omari Banks!

Bankie Banx Dune Preserve

World-famous Bankie Banx's Dune Preserve is a must-see while on Anguilla.  Enjoy music, food, drinks and fun day or night.  Most days, Bankie (the "Anguillian Bob Dylan") is around for a song or a chat about pretty much anything!  Plus, you never know who you might see at Bankies...

Garvey's Sunshine Shack

Garvey is the friendliest host on the island, and the Sunshine Shack is the place to spend a great day with him and his awesome staff!  Awesome BBQ dishes are available for lunch (our favorite is the whole snapper!) Garvey has tables, loungers, music and games to keep you happy all day long!

Jr.'s Glass Bottom Boat Tours

One of the best boat tour and snorkeling excursions leaves right from Shoal Bay daily!  Jr. will take you on a great tour of the island, with stops at Long Bay and other beautiful spots for snorkeling and swimming.
